Located 7 miles from the historic market town of Alnwick with its medieval castle and renowned gardens, home to the Duke of Northumberland and 4 miles from Rothbury with a history dating back to the Reivers who pillaged the area frequently these cottages are in an ideal area to explore Northumberland. The coast is an area of ‘Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and is only 20 minutes drive with golden beaches, on the way you will pass castles and stately homes. Also worth a visit is Hadrian’s Wall, the Scottish Borders and the Cheviots, all easily accessible.

New Moor House is a 200 year old former Georgian coaching inn nestling in the midst of spectacular countryside and the 3 stone built cottages are converted from the former barns in a courtyard setting. Recently refurbished the cottages have their own ‘spring water’ supply, have log burning stoves and two have romantic four poster beds. With historical sites, golden sandy beaches and the market towns of Alnwick and Rothbury close by for shops, bars and restaurants, they are sure to appeal to guests looking for a relaxing retreat at any time of year.

The cottage has been converted from two adjoining barns overlooking the old courtyard and has interconnecting doors allowing the cottages to be rented alonside Rose Cottage for a party of 4 but retaining their own privacy, are centrally heated and comprise:

• Kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and dishwasher.
